With over 3000 documented shipwrecks and untold others yet to be discovered, the Great Lakes region which includes the St. Lawrence river from Kingston to Cornwall is by far the shipwreck mecca of the world!
Schooners, paddle wheeled steamers, modern freighters can all be found within most recreational dive levels.  Unlike salt water wrecks that quickly disintegrate or become in inundated with coral and barely distinguishable from their original form, these freshwater wrecks do not have worms, and are in extremely well preserved condition – where some still even have their rigging intact.
